2026 – National Music Centre Acoustic Guitar Project

I was about to get on stage at Varsity, to a crowd of around 150 people when I got the news that I was one of five artists selected for the 2026 program. Most of me was emotionally prepared to get a “no”. I wasn’t emotionally prepared to get a “yes”.

Even though I’ve been in music in some capacity or another for more years that you can imagine, I’ve never had such focus. Life and responsibilities have always lived in the front seat with me, keeping music in the back seat.

My new record is coming out soon along with a music video, and I have enough material to start on my next project.

Many of the beautiful souls who support my dream, showed up to the Acoustic Guitar Project show on March 6th. I don’t know how I’ll ever thank them all for their incredible support.

I’m going on tour to Vancouver Island, and headed to Folk Music Canada again this year. I’ll look forward to meeting new friends, and celebrating all the ones who keep breathing life into my soul.

I am the lucky one.
